IMMEDIATE SUPPORT
You are not expected to handle everything perfectly.
Some days will feel heavier than others. On those days, focus on what feels manageable, reach for support where you can, and allow yourself space to rest
If you need connection or someone who understands right now:
- Endometriosis UK Support Network — Local and online support groups where you can speak with others living with endometriosis
- Mind Mental health support if you’re feeling overwhelmed or emotionally impacted
- Peppy Health Work guidance and support, including 1:1 support from specialists via chat and video
- Samaritans If you're in distress and need someone to talk to urgently , you can call the Samaritans 24 hour emotional support line in full confidence: 116 123.
In The Moment Support (When You Get That Flare Up)
If you’re experiencing a flare-up, focus on small, supportive actions:
- Use a heat source (hot water bottle or heat patch) on the lower abdomen
- Rest in a position that feels most comfortable (many find lying on the side or curled up helps)
- Stay hydrated. Warm drinks can feel especially soothing. Try our The Red One Period tea.
- Reduce stimulation (dim lights, quiet space, minimal noise)
You don’t need to push through pain, slowing down is support.
Emotional Support
Endometriosis isn’t just physical — it can feel heavy emotionally too.
In difficult moments:
- Remind yourself: this moment will pass
- Reach out to someone you trust, even just to talk
- Write down what you’re feeling to release it from your mind
- Step away from overwhelming information or social media if needed
You are allowed to feel what you’re feeling without needing to justify it.
